Fleetwood Mac’s Lindsey Buckingham Completes Sale of Brentwood Home for $28M

Guitarist Lindsey Buckingham has sold his Brentwood mansion for $28 million.

Buckingham—best known for his tenure with Fleetwood Mac—paid $6.6 million for the 1.2-acre Los Angeles-area property back in 2004. A few years after the purchase, the musician had the 10,000-square-foot French country-style residence custom built.

Visitors are welcomed to the grand residence to a foyer with a sweeping turret staircase before moving toward a traditional formal dining room with a centerpiece fireplace. Further inside, a casual living space with beamed ceilings and doors opening to the backyard stands out as particularly lovely.

Potential buyers will likely be drawn to the entertaining potential of the common areas, most particularly in the formal living room. The billiard room is also very appealing, and of course the house boasts a recording studio. The European country house kitchen features abundant cabinetry, a large butcher-block center island, and a statement-making antique chandelier. The home contains eight bedrooms and 10 baths.

Outside, there is a charming patio with a fireplace, a tennis court, a playground, and a swimming pool covered by a rooftop deck and flanked by a pool house.

Buckingham had emergency open-heart surgery this spring. He is currently on the mend, and is at this very moment picking on that nifty Rick Turner guitar.
