NHL Hall of Famer Scott Niedermayer Asking $5.5M in Newport Beach

Former Anaheim Ducks star Scott Niedermayer recently listed his Newport Beach home for $5.495 million.

The 18-season NFL Hall-of-Famer seems to have made short work of the sale; currently, the Los Angeles-area residence’s listing has been marked as pending. However, the game isn’t over until it’s over, and Niedermayer is still accepting backup offers for the property.

The beautiful five-bedroom Traditional spans 5,646 square feet, and is located in a private guard-gated community. Inside, visitors enter to a grand double-height great room showing of a curving staircase and a massive fireplace in the formal living space.

Light oak floors seamlessly flow to the light and airy formal dining room, which features a large bank of windows, and a set of French doors offering access to the exterior living space. Just around the corner is the spacious chef’s kitchen with white cabinetry, a contrasting dark center island, and a casual dining nook.

One of the reasons the contracted buyer was likely drawn to the property is the half-acre of land. The sizable lot has plenty of room to fit patio space, a dining gazebo, cabanas, a swimming pool with a spa, and even a full-size tennis court quite comfortably.
