An ultra-luxurious Beverly Hills mansion with plenty of celebrity pedigree is now available for $48 million. It’s a classic Hollywood trophy villa designed for pop diva Cher, who in turn passed it on to Eddie Murphy during the 1980’s.

The current seller has expanded the property considerably. They first listed it for $85 million in 2016, later reduced it to $68 million, and have now trimmed the ask by another twenty mil.

Cher’s taste for the grandiose made the home one of the most publicized builds of the 1970s; the home was written up by many a journalist, none of whom failed to mention the retractable glass roof the singer had specially designed to give the home an ideal indoor/outdoor living style.

The sprawling stucco house is set behind large wooden gates and vine-covered walls, and now measures nearly twice the size of Cher’s ambitious blueprint: 20,000 square feet. The additions do need to be completed, though. Still, when finished, the 11 bedrooms and 17 baths will be augmented by a variety of indulgent spaces, including an atrium and a home theater.

Outside, the 13.5-acre estate incorporates a lush green lawn, plenty of palm trees, expansive patios, and a private tennis court with courtside viewing. A large swimming pool, a cabana, and access to several riding trails offer more recreational potential, and the 7,000-square-foot guesthouse features Moroccan accents.
