Arts, health, and education patron Aileen Getty has listed her Malibu mansion for $11.995 million.
The two-story farmhouse set on two lush, grassy acres, and features an arresting black exterior that is nearly devoid of texture or ornament.
The interiors are light, airy, and ultra contemporary. White walls, tall ceilings, and a mix of polished concrete and light herringbone-patterned hardwood floors define the living style of the 5,255 square-footer.
The formal living space stands out with a large double-sided fireplace and three sets of French doors opening to the backyard. But the kitchen’s sheer size and minimalist style make it the heart of the home; the room is centered by a large rustic table, and features an industrial-sized refrigerator, double ovens, plenty of counter space, and another set of French doors.
The exterior is as expansive; the lush green lawn sprawls to the treeline, and is only interrupted by a pergola-covered patio, and the swimming pool with a spa in the distance.
