Another celebrity purchase at The Standish in Brooklyn, New York has logged. It seems that Emily Blunt and John Krasinski bought into the building to the tune of nearly $11 million.

The couple is combining two units for a full floor of the high-end condo building. The reports came just days after news of Matt Damon’s purchase of a penthouse unit in the building. That sale set a record in the city of Brooklyn when it sold to Mr. Damon for $16.7 million.

Sales of units in The Standish were brisk. The Columbia Heights building was completed in 2017; just one of the 29 units in it is currently for sale. The building dates to 1903, and was originally The Standish Arms Hotel. Developer DDG paid $60 million to acquire it in 2014.

The representative unit show a balanced approach to upper-end high-rise living, with understated warmth, hints of period charm, and enough flash to satisfy the power set.

The couple presumably closed on the unit about a month after selling their townhouse in Park Slope for $6.56 million. The couple sold that home at a small loss; they’d purchased it in 2016 for $6.6 million.

Emily Blunt starred in 2018’s Mary Popping Returns, which has grossed over $250 million. John Krasinski directed the critically acclaimed A Quiet Place, which stars Blunt; the film grossed $340 million against a budget of $17 million.
