Film director Rob Cohen recently moved on from his Los Angeles-area home for $3.2 million.

“The Fast and the Furious” director’s Hidden Hills equestrian estate impresses with a beautiful one-acre lot and a 4,874-square-foot home. The Cape Cod-style residence dates to 1996, and features very traditional exterior architecture, with a grand front porch and charming dormers suggesting ‘home’ in no uncertain terms.

Inside, visitors are welcomed to the spacious open living room with an eye-grabbing floor-to-ceiling stacked stone fireplace, a half-vault, and a wet bar. Further inside, there is a formal dining room with an additional fireplace and a chandelier, and a kitchen with plenty of counter space, stainless steel appliances, and a casual dining area.

The home’s plank hardwood and tongue-in-groove vaulted ceilings bring informality and warmth to the living style. The master is compact but cozy, with a tiled fireplace and a revised bath.

A barbecue/grill station, a fire pit, and a swimming pool with a waterfall feature handle exterior living and entertaining potential. A two-stall barn, a tack room, and nearby access to horse trails are more specialized features familiar to Hidden Hills residents.

Cohen’s most recent directorial effort is “Hurricane Heist”; the film was released late last winter.
