HGTV’s Jamie Durie Lists Inviting Mid-Century in Hollywood Hills for $3M

HGTV star and expert landscape designer Jamie Durie recently listed his Hollywood Hills home for $2.995 million.

The unique mid-century modern-style residence is bright and very open, with vaulted ceilings, a generally blazing treatment, and plenty of glass. A look at the landscaping should come first in a survey of Durie’s home, though, and the property is packed with living greenstuffs; a lush and beautifully landscaped little grounds with mature trees, cacti, and a vibrant variety of plants.

Built in the 1950s, the three-bedroom house spans 2,676 square feet and stands out with its unique take on Midcentury styling. A stone fireplace, a vaulted ceiling, and walls of glass give the residence its classic Midcentury look. However, this styling changes a bit in the contemporary kitchen, which has been updated with white countertops, dark cabinetry, and stainless steel appliances.

Durie is host of HGTV’s “The Outdoor Room”.  He is the author of 11 books exploring the relationship of landscaping and quality of life.
