Reality television producer Dan Cutforth just dropped $4.795 million on a beautiful new home in Toluca Lake.

The house is a new construction, and boasts a contemporary Cape Cod-inspired look. It’s accented with luxurious finishes throughout, and spans more than 6,800 square feet.

The home’s exterior offers a little trad with cedar shingles. Inside, the shared, open-concept living space is quite contemporary. It almost turns on the charm a little with built-in bookshelves, a central fireplace, and a luxurious wet bar, but still adheres to a noncommittal ambiance with grid lighting, flat-finished hardwood, and a broad sense of proportion. The white-marble clad kitchen boasts a large center island, pendant lighting, and high-end appliances; standard up-to-date kitchen fare, but high-end and nicely executed.

Guests and visitors alike will be equally as pleased with the formal dining room, accented with a chandelier and coffered ceilings. The master suite stands out with a soaring vaulted ceiling, a fireplace, and a private balcony; there are six bedrooms and 6.25 bathrooms throughout the home.

Designed with entertaining in mind, the backyard has plenty of space for guests to gather, whether it be in the pool house, on the turf lawn, by the firepit, or in the infinity-edge swimming pool and spa.

Cutforth is the producer of “Top Chef” and “Project Runway,” among other programs.
