Electric Motorcycle brand Zero Motorcycles recently introduced its line of 2019 bikes. And two-wheeled EV enthusiasts will likely be drawn to the added power, range, and updated battery technologies of the models.

Zero’s top-of-the-line DSR features some of the most impressive updates, including a 163-mile city range/98-mile highway range. It can hit a top speed of 102 mph, and looks the part: a new dual-sport windscreen, and hand guards and tank grips give it plenty of attitude.

The company’s two base models also got a power upgrade for 2019. The S and DS urban bikes now boast a 7.2-kWh battery that’ll produce 46 horsepower, an increase of over a third from the outgoing versions. Riders who opt for the extended-range 14.4-kWh power pack setup also see an increase in distance potential; the pack bumps up the DS’s range to 97 miles on the highway and 204 miles in the city. For the S, this result is an increase in range to 112 freeway miles and 223 city miles.

Additional upgrades include a new long-term storage mode to increase battery health, and a special charge tank that adds up to 85 miles of city driving range per hour for the S, DS, DSR, and SR.

Also new to the 2019 lineup are several sleek paint options, including Sandstone, Caldera Metallic, Dune, Rhino Gray, Jet Black, and Black metallic.
