BMW recently debuted the production trim for its upcoming 2019 Z4 sDrive30i Roadster and 2020 Z4 M40i Roadster models. The BMW Z4 M409 First Edition was unveiled at this year’s Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance last month, but this is the first time the luxury automaker has revealed the full details for its production versions.
First up is the Z4 sDrive30i Roadster, which features increased power production. The 2.0-liter TwinPower turbocharged engine has been tweaked to produce 255 hp and 295 lb-ft of torque. Adjustments to the injection system give the model a zero-t0-60 mph time of 5.2 seconds.
Even though we’ll have to wait a bit longer to test drive BMW’s 2020 Z4 M40i Roadster, the recently revealed details suggest it will be worth the wait. Drivers will enjoy 382 horsepower and 369 pound-feet of torque from the M40i’s 3.0-liter turbocharged inline-six-cylinder engine. Combined with a variety of top-notch M Sports parts, this results in a snappy 0-60 mph sprint of 4.4 seconds.
The highly anticipated four-cylinder Z4 sDriver30i Roadsters are headed to dealerships in March.
