Luxury watchmaker Richard Mille has introduced a limited-edition new timepiece. Like others in the Mille line, it is unerringly contemporary.

Limited to just 10 examples, the new Richard Mille RM 022 Tourbillon Aerodyne Dual Time Red-White-Blue Limited Edition timepieces are sleek and, collectively, present a patriotic vision of Gallic identity. It is inspired by the RM 022 Tourbillon Aerodyne Dual Time Zone watch from 2010, and crafted from aerospace materials.

The timepiece’s baseplate is crafted from strong, lightweight orthorhombic titanium aluminide. This unique material is used in aeronautics and displays a beautiful honeycomb pattern. It pairs especially well with Richard Mille’s popular TPT quartz cases.

The Red-White-Blue timepiece boasts a modern dial complete with a torque indicator, a power reserve indicator, a function indicator, a dual time zone display, and, of course, the tourbillon. Lucky customers will rely confidently on the hand-wound Caliber RM022, which features a 70-hour power reserve.

Each entry in the timepiece mini-collection is specially colored, with saturated color resins and quartz fibers pressurized to create the special red, white, or blue timepieces.

The Richard Mille RM 022 Tourbillon Aerodyne Dual Time Red-White-Blue is available for $528,000. So, yes, to bring the colors of liberté to your watch collection will run you $1.5 million.
