Italian home design brand Cassina introduced a number of new pieces at this year’s Milan Design Week.

Cassina first impressed visitors with a renovated and expanded showroom at the 2018 show. As beautiful as the new showroom is, its purpose was to enhance the beauty of the collection pieces, and it did exactly that.

Patricia Urquiola’s new interior designs looked fairly essential in relation to the wide-open spaces, and the centerpiece of Cassina’s landscape, a large, curving staircase connecting the components of the showroom vision.

Urquiola’s own Bowy-Sofa serves as one of the highlights with a warm, modular look created by mixing a variety of shapes. The Bowy-Sofa’s convertible form opens up options for buyers to truly customize the look of the piece depending on the space…and, in turn, alter the space itself.

London-based designer Michael Anastassiades also makes useful contributions to the collection with a number of sculptural dining tables. His pieces utilize fine natural wood materials and playful configurations, resulting in fashionable yet functional art.
