After about seven years of ownership, pop diva Taylor Swift has sold a smallish residence in Beverly Hills. Swift accepted a $4 million offer for the home that was quietly submitted, and just as quietly accepted. She purchased the home for about $3.6 million. The buyer is Nicolas Bijan Pakzad, heir to the Bijan fashion brand.

The little cottage on extends to a little more than 2,800 square feet, but it does the timeless charm thing very well with the space that it has, feeling homey, comfortable and cozy throughout. A guest cottage on the property augments the living space.

The home’s setting—and the 1.4 acre lot size—help provide it with a sanctuary-like feel. Exterior picket gates and fencing, a cobblestone walk, lawns, and mature trees give the Post Office neighborhood home a uniquely escapist charm.

The main house contains three bedrooms and four baths. The interiors are very warm, with a brick fireplace, a cottage-style kitchen with high-gloss hardwood countertops, and narrow plank hardwood presenting living style that is traditional and comforting. Period wallpaper in one of th baths appears to be NOS, a nice stylistic touch when taking this approach to interior spaces.

The exterior of the home is just as inviting as the interior, with a brick fireplace, brick patio, and a marvelously overgrown pergola helping emphasize the lush landscaping. No pool on the property, but a tennis court will do for fair weather diversion.

Swift’s 2017 ambitious studio album ‘Reputation’ was the year’s best-selling album in the U.S.
