Bruce and Emma Willis have listed their unit in 271 Central Park West for sale. The couple is asking $17.75 million for the duplex apartment in the co-op building, a conversion of two original lower-floor units which both face Central Park. The couple purchased the residence from Milwaukee Bucks co-owner Wesley Edens, who purchased the two apartments and combined them. Willis and Willis paid $17 million for the property in 2015.

271 is a pre-war building which features a neoclassical façade and twelve floors. It contains 26 units.

The apartment sprawls to 6,000 square feet, with six bedrooms across both floors. The layout features an upper-floor entrance, with five of six bedrooms located on the lower floor.

Changes during ownership by the couple appear to be negligible or non-existent. The home favors light, space and scale, with comfortably high ceilings, views from nearly every room, and abundant white surfaces to make the most of natural light. Overall, it’s a conservative dwelling, nicking inspiration from New England and evoking historic New York; the kitchen dares to dream a little progression, though, edging toward the chilly side of flash.

Most appealing? Perhaps the library: floor-to-ceiling built-ins, a view that invites inspiration, and an adjacent bedroom distinguish the space as a sancturary-in-waiting.

Lots of action tells the tale for Willis’ upcoming films this year. Among them is a rehash of ‘Death Wish,’ the 1970’s potboiler and Charles Bronson vehicle.
