Snowboarder Shaun White just purchased a Laurel Canyon home with a unique celebrity pedigree for $1.6 million.

The Los Angeles-area home formerly belonged to film, television, and Broadway composer Marc Shaiman. If rumors are correct, White’s girlfriend, musician Sarah Barthel, is also a part owner of the quirky L.A. property.

There are two residential structures on the lot. The first is a 1,300-square-foot two-story with dedicated office and game spaces downstairs, and an airy state-of-the-art recording studio upstairs. The second structure is a 1920s-built classic California bungalow with two bedrooms and two baths across 1,200 square feet of living space.

White’s new main living space boasts an eclectic aesthetic with cream hardwood floors, floor-to-ceiling bookshelves, a mosaic tile fireplace, and French doors leading out to a deck with built-in seating and canyon views. The bungalow boasts a large dining room with a vaulted ceiling that can accommodate 14.

White, a two-time Olympic gold medalist, will be snowboarding this year in Pyeongchang, South Korea.
