High-end ski brand Foil Skis has upped the ante when it comes to luxury ski gear with a set of 14-karat gold skis. The ski set was designed especially for Jackie Chan.

Chan, apparently, is an avid skier, and Foil Skis was determined to highlight Chan’s skill by crafting the custom set, and also pay homage to the man who began bridging the gap between East and West via entertainment. The skis were developed specifically for Chan’s particular skiing style and abilities.

Foil Skis crafted the set from Amaranto wood, which is water resistant and also quite beautiful, with a deep purple hue and excellent grain contrast when in direct sunlight. The Amaranto is paired with 14-karat gold plated bindings for the ultimate luxury appeal. And, a carrying case and poles complete the set.

Interested customers hoping to get their hands on a pair of the limited-edition Jackie Chan Oro-Amaranto skis and accessories should expect to drop $42,000. Of course, customers can also opt instead for Foil Skis’ Oro-Nero set made from Bog Oak, which is available for $50,000.
