The yacht Picon has been sold through Chamberlain Yachts and Northrop & Johnson. The 77 foot catamaran is the work of British yard Prout, and was finished in 2013.
The cat was designed for easy operation and seagoing comfort, speed and short-handed cruising. The design emphasizes outdoor enjoyment with a very large flybridge which offers a 360-degree view.
M/Y Picon is wider than 40’ at the beam, providing a spacious interior that comfortably accommodates up to 14 guests across five cabins: an owner’s stateroom, a VIP stateroom, and two guest cabins, as well as a cabin with berthing for four additional guests. Additionally, there is berthing space for five crew members.
The yacht’s interiors are designed in the contemporary nautical style: clean lines, and beautiful materials, fittings, and finishes. Very much in the newer Prout vein.
Picon’s low-profile coach roof enhances the yacht’s seagoing dependability, and is designed to handle all weather conditions. She was upgraded last year, with new instruments, galley and head equipment, electrical, and the like. She is equipped with a pair of Nanni 200HP engines.
Chamberlain Yachts has been in business since 2003. They are one of the most respected superyacht brokers in the world.
Prout Catamarans is located in Essex, England. The company has been designing and building catamarans for at least 40 years. The Picon represents the company’s continuing 21st-century foray into superyacht design and construction.
