Former MLB pitcher Greg Maddux has scooped up a beautiful San Diego contemporary for $2.1 million.

Maddux’s new digs were constructed in 1965, and have since been updated to offer four bedrooms and four bathrooms spread across 1,915 square feet. The coastal escape boasts an ultra-modern and contemporary aesthetic with a beachy flair.

The California home features an open-concept living and family room space with a beautiful kitchen clad in white marble and accented with high-end appliances. Additional elements like a glass garage, glass front doors, and wood exterior accent walls add to the residence’s uniquely warm, comfortable style.

In addition to two master suites, one of the best features of the home is the 1,500-square-foot rooftop deck offering breathtaking views of the Pacific Ocean.

Maddux has spent recent years coaching MLB stars. The 51-year-old Baseball Hall of Famer hit it big with the Chicago Cubs in 1986, eventually ending a storied career with the L.A. Dodgers, in 2008.
