At 155.84 feet, the Nerissa is one of the newest yachts to be launched by Turkish shipyard Bilgin. Offered at just over $25 million, she is possessed of an astonishing series of external lines, and an interior which is at times almost breathtakingly beautiful.
Unique Yacht Design handled the exterior of Nerissa, and artfully echoed the deck layout of the vessel with the layered series of apertures that define its profile. The full displacement hull is steel, and aluminum was used for the superstructure. There’s a lot of weight here, a lot of stability, but even given her size and design Nerissa’s pair of 1,450 HP MTU diesels can take her to a top speed of 16.5 knots. Zero-speed stabilizers help maintain the craft’s comfortable equilibrium.
The interior spaces, design, and décor are the work of specialist firm H2 Yacht Design. Nerissa’s interiors present the eye with some of the loveliest inlaid wood and stone floors we’ve seen in some time. The floating spiral staircase that connects the decks is borderline spectacular, an artistic design that combines deco and modernism, and varied wood, stone and metal textures merging into a stunning display of craftsmanship. The accommodations sleep 10, as well as nine crew members; the master suite is very spacious.
M/Y Nerissa’s entertainment and exterior living spaces include a skylounge, a sundeck with spas and bar, and an upper deck with dining area, bar, and sunlounge.
