In addition to recently releasing an RX camera update, Sony has introduced a new model in its mirrorless camera lineup: the a7R Mark III.

The full-frame mirrorless model boasts significantly faster shooting speeds in addition to extended battery life and improved autofocus capabilities. There’s also the incorporation of Pixel Shift Multi Shooting that changes the sensor position so each image boasts 169.6 megapixels of data.

The Mark III camera features a 42.4 MP back-illuminated Exmor R sensor paired with a new Bionz X image processor, which offers up to 10 fps continuous shooting. The updated processor is capable of full autofocus for a burst of 76 JPEG stills or 28 uncompressed RAW images utilizing silent shooting or a mechanical shutter.

Sony’s new camera also offers 4K footage capabilities with a special Super 35 mode for higher resolution. In addition to enhanced low-light performance and expanded dynamic range, users can shoot slow motion in Full HD at 120 fps with AF tracking. The model is equipped with dual SD card slots, integrated Wi-Fi for wireless file transfer, and a micro-USB.

Sony’s new a7R III will be available in November, and is priced at $3,199.
