Luxury audio brand Bowers & Wilkins might just have set a new standard for wireless cans with their PX Wireless Noise Cancelling Headphones. The design alone betrays a great deal of attention. This model wows with a vintage-inspired look that makes so many other headphones on the market appear cheap.

Eye-appeal shifts to ear-appeal quickly, though. The new ‘phones offer a silent, broad soundstage which captivates, and more than a few features for the serious enthusiast. At the top of the list are a 22-hour battery life, noise cancellation abilities that artfully remove annoying noise and nothing else.

And, in keeping with the smart appliance tech craze, intuitive controls that learn a user’s habits to offer an anticipatory audio listening experience. Special sensors begin to respond to listener behavior by turning on sound when headphones are put on the head or turning sound off when they are set down.

Music lovers can get their hands on the new Bowers & Wilkins PX headphones, in gray or gold, for around $400.
