There is no shortage of wireless ear buds on the market, but Google’s new Pixel Buds offer users an exceptional feature: the ability to translate 40 languages in real time.

Devices that translate languages have been popular for some time, serving a variety of social or business needs. Google’s earbuds are offering a whole new level of seamless interaction, though. The discreet earpieces are connected via a small cable around the back of the wearer’s neck and connect using Bluetooth.

Google’s Pixel Buds feature small touchpads so wearers can swipe to control music or to help enable Google Translate on a paired Pixel smartphone. The tech company promises that the small buds essentially become a personal translator tucked away in the ear.

Available next month for $159, Google’s Pixel Buds promise to make inter-language conversations as easy as touching an earpiece and stating, “Help me speak Chinese.”
