Since debuting at the AIMExpo in Columbus, Ohio, Tacita‘s electric cruiser motorcycle has been making a big impression.
The Italian manufacturer’s T-Cruise has been highly anticipated: adjustable ergonomics, optional power delivery, and the number of power packs available are among its design highlights. While the company could have waited to debut the bike at the Tokyo Motor Show later this month, unveiling it in the U.S. make a statement about the company’s target audience.
Tacita’s electric cruiser features a masculine and rugged look with design elements recalled from the Harley-Davidson Sportster. However, the bike doesn’t just look powerful. It boasts a liquid-cooled asynchronous three-phase induction motor.
The beautiful build and electric powerplant allow for the production of 40.2 horsepower and 51.6 lb-ft of torque. Riders can choose between the Eco or Sport power delivery options, and they also can select their choice of battery pack among three different 120 V lithium-polymer options.
Charging times and pricing vary greatly depending on the chosen battery pack, but Tacita’s base model is available for $10,999. The top-tier version comes in at $27,999.
