Starship has seen a price reduction that makes the superyacht an almost unbelievable bargain. The 143’ Van Mill has to her credit a huge investment of over $17 million in updates, an investment which fairly dwarfs the current price.
The revisions to this yacht have been extensive and extraordinary. Don’t let the 1988 date fool you. Following a full overhaul in 2006—which stripped interior and exterior completely for a total rebuild that included machinery, electronics, and navigation—M/Y Starship received Quantum Zero-Speed stabilizers and new generators in 2010, new exterior paint, systems revisions, and a new interior in 2015, and a $300K facelift this year. All told, the yacht has seen at least $17 million in updates in the past decade.
Which makes the price drop of $3 million all the more attractive to a prospective buyer: M/Y Starship is now asking just $5.95 million, and presents a rare opportunity to purchase a well-established charter vessel. The Starship can accommodate 11 guests and 10 crewmembers; there are five staterooms throughout, as well as a gym and updated entertainment suites. It is outfitted with a helipad.
Interiors are quite formal, with mid-toned hardwood and inlaid tile floors providing an ornate basis for the living spaces. A formal dining room with panoramic views, expansive salon, and master stateroom are among the Starship’s interior highlights.
A full complement of water sports toys is included, as well as an 18’ Novurania tender. M/Y Starship is currently located in Ft. Lauderdale.
