‘The Hills’ Star Lauren Conrad Puts Her Brentwood 6-Bed on the Market for $4.5M

California girl Lauren Conrad has listed her house in Brentwood for sale. The reality-T.V. star, who has in the last few years branched out into authorship and fashion design, is asking $4.495 million for the property; she purchased the home in 2013, for $3.7 million.

The home dates to 1959, and is designed as a traditional with French country-style architectural influences. The size of its living space is fairly generous, but manageable, measuring in at just a little over 4,300 square feet, with six bedrooms and five baths across two floors. A small suite on the first floor is suitable for staff or guests.

A renovation has given the home’s interiors a wood/whitewash contrast, with fireplace and exposed beams now denuded of their earth tones. The plank hardwood floors are finished very dark, enhancing the drama of the toning and, together with the recessed ceiling fixtures, give the home a somewhat detached and slightly bland atmosphere.

The home’s open-concept common living space is very pleasant, however, and the kitchen has a terrific sense of liberation. Plentiful glass gives the dayroom, dining room and living room progression a good shot of natural light, and glass doors open regularly onto the property.

The home’s exterior features a delightful brick patio; set against the lush green of the lawn, the effect is very pleasing, and makes one desire just a bit of understated toning for the interiors.

Conrad has published nine books to date. Her fashion lines include LC Lauren Conrad, and have expanded to include home furnishings. She appeared on ‘The Hills’ for five seasons.
