Fyre Festival organizer Billy McFarland no longer lives in this penthouse on West 14th St. in Manhattan. McFarland had been renting the unit at the time of his arrest two months ago on suspicion of fraud related to the botched music festival, a laid-back Bahamian groove that allegedly failed to deliver food, water, and the odd musical performance. It seems the FBI grew curious about the five Ws of the associated revenue.

So, onto the market goes the penthouse McFarland rented to the tune of $25K/month, with an asking price of $7.495 million. The building is 245meatpacking, a 12-story condo finished in 2012 by DDG, who is currently constructing 100 Franklin in Tribeca.

The penthouse is one of five in the building, and measures 2,016 square feet, with three bedrooms and 2.5 baths throughout. The unit features 10.5’ ceilings, custom millwork, black granite kitchen countertops, a master suite with a large walk-in closet, a sitting area, and a private terrace entrance, and baths swathed in slab marble. Like the materials used in the interiors, fixtures and appliances throughout are top-grade. The interior spaces are executed as warm modern, with strident ceiling lines, mid-toned plank hardwood floors, and brass window surrounds.

The unit has sold once since the building opened: in 2013, for $6.4 million.
