Former Givenchy Creative Director Riccardo Tisci Puts Half a Soho Townhouse on the Rental Market for $14K a Month

Ex-Givenchy guiding spirit Riccardo Tisci is offering a portion of his Soho townhouse for rent at $14K/monthly. The two-level unit, comprising a lower section of the building, incorporates a garden level with a first floor suite, a pool, and living space on upper and lower levels.

Tisci purchased the property in 2011 with performance-artist maven Marina Abramović, but never resided in his part of the place; the duo paid $5.3 million for the property, and Abramović sold Tisci her unit in 2013, for $3 million.

The brownstone in Hudson Square dates to 1899, and comprises the ground floor and first floor of the four-story building, along with basement space. The master suite is 47’ long, and incorporates an alcove, access to the garden, extensive closet space, and a sizable bath.

A staircase leads up to the first floor, which contains the open-concept living room, dining room and kitchen, as well as a second bath. A deck off the first floor leads to a staircase which drops into the second and larger of the two garden spaces, which contains a lap pool.

At 2,400 square feet, the one-bedroom is quite spacious, and features very attractive mid-toned plank hardwood. A renovation has brought a contemporary interior architecture into play, offsetting whitewash and clean lines with a great deal of warm wood. The aesthetic is Eastern, with the master bath rendered in modern Japanese style, right down to a wood soaking tub and bamboo walls. The garden is also Japanese-inspired.

Tisci, as remarkable for his savoir faire as for his fashion designs, is by most accounts currently floating strategically unaffiliated somewhere between his old employer and Versace.
