Musician Travis Barker has purchased a second home in Calabasas. The Blink 182 drummer purchased the home for a little more than $2.8 million.

The 7,200 square foot, five bedroom and six bath residence is a Mediterranean-influenced design; the winged, symmetrical façade features a center arcade porch. The layout works around a central courtyard.

The home’s interiors are designed with a good sense of space. The foyer is a small, double-height prologue, and it opens immediately onto a double-height living room; an accent cut-out on the shared wall gives the space some continuity right from the start. Tones are innocuous, generally shades of beige and brown: dark wood, travertine tiled flooring. The colors used are consistent throughout the home. Fireplaces in the family room and living room add a little coziness to the vision.

The kitchen features a large island with cooktop, and ceiling vent in stainless. The subway tile backsplash is in beige, and cabinetry is dark-finished hardwood. The home’s sense of style carries through, never interrupting the formula.

The central courtyard contains a fireplace, and a selection of plants and a café set would make this space a nice little retreat. The home’s exterior spaces also include a pool and patio, and a second-floor terrace off the master suite.

Barker joined Blink-182 in 1998, and has been a member of the band since.
