Louis Vuitton has been creating new pieces for the Objets Nomades Collection since 2012. Ever the restless designer, the French fashion house has unveiled ten new items in the series.

Debuting at the 2017 Milan Design Week, the limited edition collection items certainly made an impression. Created by Iindia Mahdavi and Tokujin Yoshioka, each new piece honors a special creation from LV’s past.

The collaborative project focuses on the theme of travel, and the ten additions certainly fit the bill: they suggest motion, and the frisson of confronting the unfamiliar. Fans of the collection will be inspired by a Malletage-leather rocking chair from Marcel Wander, and an exotic sofa from the Campana Brothers.

In addition to past items like a desk chair, swing chairs, a hammock, and a foldable stool, fans of the travel-inspired line will also be drawn to India Mahdavi’s Nomads side table. The piece boasts leather marquetry reminiscent of talisman style.

With this handful of inspired new items, the Objets Nomades Collection reasserts itself as a locus of avant-garde interior design.
