Tom Herman—the new Texas Longhorns head coach—has listed his home outside Houston. The house, which is situated in Bellaire, is being marketed with an asking price of $2 million.

The large, formal, brick residence measures 5,660 square feet, and contains five bedrooms and 4.5 baths. The exterior is marked by an imposing symmetrical façade, a linear front walk, and a couple of strips of well-groomed green.

The house features a double-height great room with a second-floor gallery; multi-paned windows allow plenty of natural light, and the abundant whitewash of the home doesn’t allow a single photon to go to waste. The home’s kitchen is centered by an island and restaurant-quality stainless vent hood. The home also contains a media room, large living and family rooms, a library, and a formal dining room. Lighting throughout is generally chandelier or recessed LED.

The floors of the home may be its most interested features. Variegated slate tile and some nicely grained hardwood allow texture, and give a little visual context.

The property exterior extends to a slate patio and pool area; the pool is nicely bordered, and there is a spa incorporated in the tiered design. There is a guest house, as well, which looks a little like a small-town post office. It adds an additional bedroom and bath to the profile.

2017 will see the Longhorns playing their first season with Herman at the helm. Formerly a head coach at Rice University, Ohio State and Houston, Herman has a reputation for extremely effective offensive strategy. He signed a five year contract with Texas.
