Yamaha’s street bike–called the FZ-10 in America–goes by a different name in European markets, the MT-10. Now the Japanese motorcycle giant has come out with a new special edition of the MT-10, with longer trips in mind.

The new Yamaha MT-10 Tourer Edition boasts a wide range of specifically designed touring equipment and features, including a high-sport screen, knuckle guards, cruise control, soft ABS side cases, and probably most importantly, a comfort-specific seat that accommodates for various riding positions.

Powering the MT-10 Tourer Edition is a liquid-cooled, in-line, four-cylinder powerplant that produces 998cc. The D-MODE system ensures three different engine running modes to manage the bike in various conditions.

Other helpful features of the MT-10 Tourer Edition are a Traction Control System, a Quick Shifter System, and a compact Assist and Slipper clutch that ensures full control over acceleration and deceleration.

The MT-10 Tourer Edition would be perfect for riding up and down the California coast, ripping through the Appalachian Mountains on the East Cost, blazing through the dusty desert roads of Arizona, or even just making that long commute to work.

The MT-10 Tourer will be available in Europe this month. U.S. availability–and name variation–is as of now unknown.
