The latest SD cards produced by Sony are probably the most impressive the tech giant has ever created, and they have been dubbed the fastest SD cards ever made by the Japanese company.

Sony’s new SF-G UHS-II SD card offers read/write specs of 300 MB per second and 299 MB per second, respectively, making them the fastest working SD card speeds ever in production.

On top of the stunning speed, the new SF-G cards are waterproof, shockproof, temperature resistant, and X-ray proof. The new SF-G SD card will be offered in 32 GB, 64 GB, and 128 GB storage size options.

Sony’s SF-G UHS-II SD cards are a dream come true for high-end photography and video creators, with the cards easily able to handle the large-file demands of 4K mirrorless cameras (a market where Sony has more than a few offerings).

Pricing information for the SF-G cards has yet to be released, but it is known the SD cards are slated for consumer availability sometime in March.

Sony has also created a new USB 3.1 card reader that was designed specifically for the new SF-G UHS-II cards.
