Stepper Bruno Tonioli—keen-eyed judge of ‘Dancing with the Stars—has picked up a home in West Hollywood. The selling price of the house was $2.825 million, only a point or two below the listing price of $2.9 million.

The Contemporary-style home probably dates to the 1970’s or 1980’s. It measures 2,359 square feet, and contains three en-suite bedrooms.

The home fully incorporates the cleanly unadorned look of the style, inside and out. The façade is fairly imposing; the interior is whitewashed throughout, with a fair amount of glass, and white oak floors contrasted with mid-toned hardwood cabinetry and shelving. The home’s design highlight may be the staircase—natural hardwood is nicely combined with a balustrade of lateral steel rails and a polished ash handrail. The simple motif of the balustrade is picked up for the second-floor balconies. Lighting is generally recessed, although a series of rounded chandeliers add a little flavor to all the planar lines of the house.

The home’s exterior is limited; this is West Hollywood, after all. The lot makes good use of available space, though, and works a pool and spa, a raised patio deck and outside dining area, and a strip of lawn into the private backyard setting.

Tonioli’s clients as a choreographer have included The Rolling Stones, Elton John, Tina Turner, and Sting. He co-created BBC’s ‘DanceX,’ and has been a judge on DWTS since the program’s premier season.
