Samantha Bee and Jason Jones are moving to the West Side; in doing so, they are joining other contemporary stalwarts of satire Tina Fey and Amy Schumer, who also recently moved to the UWS.

The co-op is located in 300 Riverside, a prewar residential building, and the home’s design—renovated with an eye to historical appeal—offers up-to-date appliances, original hardwood plank and parquet, plentiful reflected light from whitewash throughout, and the views offered by its top-floor placement. The kitchen, with its dramatically recessed coffered ceiling and minimalist light fixtures, is especially appealing, with a two-tiered island capped in soapstone, dining area looking out over Riverside Drive, and open flow into the main living space. The home contains four bedrooms and 2.5 baths.

The family room that opens the apartment extends the length of the space, and features a custom shelving/storage unit with a barn-style rail panel that slides back to reveal storage. A marble fireplace mantle, which was reclaimed from the Plaza Hotel, is the focus of the living room.

The apartment features French and pocket doors, a master suite with bath; the latter features ceramic wood-grained wall tile. Bedrooms are all adjacent, and comprise the south wing of the apartment for privacy, and optimized natural light.

Samantha Bee spent a year at McGill University in Montreal, before jumping ship to study dramatic arts in Ottawa and Toronto. She met future husband Jason Jones while working on ‘The Daily Show’; ‘Full Frontal with Samantha Bee’ was launched in 2015 to critical acclaim.

Long may it run.
