Poppy Montgomery’s traditional-style home has hit the market for $4.985 million. The work of prolific architect Kenneth Ungar—who designed one of the homes featured in ‘Curb Your Enthusiasm’—it has an unassuming, comforting façade, and an interior with few surprises but plentiful comfort.

Filled with tans, off-whites, and mid-toned oak floors offset by an occasional splash of cooling blue-grey, the inside of the home is relaxing, if predictable. Coffered ceilings add a little mannered formality. Stone is used judiciously; the front porch is slate-floored, lending a bit of rustic charm, and marble in the bathrooms and kitchen continue the conservative appeal established by the home’s façade and winding brick front walk. Everything in its place.

The home measures an impressive 7, 800 square feet, and contains five bedrooms and 4.5 baths. The master bedroom contains a fireplace, and features raised, angular ceilings, while the master bath is nicely rendered in marble tile. Other bathrooms are finished in subway or herringbone tile. The open-concept kitchen is situated around an oversized center island; it flows into the family room for a communal feel. The family room’s large, folding glass doors opens up to reveal a covered, slate pavilion with brick fireplace. The house offers a nice sense of flow; in keeping, the staircase is one of the most appealing aspects of the home.

Australian-born actress Poppy Montgomery played the lead role of the CBS-come-A&E mystery program ‘Unforgettable,’ which ended last year. She has appeared in numerous films and television series.
