Cindy Crawford and Rande Gerber Asking $60M for Malibu Home

After flipping one Malibu property in 2015—and nearly doubling their investment—Cindy Crawford and husband Rande Gerber are looking to repeat their success.

Last year, the couple sold a Traditional-style home in the upscale city for $13.341 million; they’d paid $6 million for it in 2014. That’s a tidy return in around a year’s time.  The couple quickly sunk $51.5 million into the home that’s presently up for sale, eventually listing it for $60 mil.

The current offering of Crawford and Gerber is a breezy, 5,300 square foot Mediterranean-style open-concept, which rests on 3.2 waterfront acres in Encinal Bluffs; the couple is retaining an adjacent 2 or 3 acre lot of land. The house was built in 1944 and has been newly renovated; it’s designed to take best advantage of its location—glass walls open to a wrap-around deck that looks out over the Pacific.

The house features four bedrooms and 5.5 baths, chef’s kitchen with breakfast bar, and large living- and dining-rooms. The ocean-view master suite contains fireplace, separate sitting area, and dual bathrooms. The verdant grounds offer a tennis court, a pool and spa, an outdoor pavilion, and a private path to the beach.

One of the Original Five—supermodels, that is—Cynthia Crawford, now 50, was a student at Northwestern when she dropped out to pursue modeling full-time. The girl who was valedictorian of her high school class, and had an abiding interest in chemistry, has graced countless magazine covers; she’s also been hired to campaign for couture heavyweights Hermes, Valentino, and Versace, among others. Her husband Rande Gerber, a former model himself, is a successful businessman.
