European aerospace company Airbus has revealed its secreted project called Vahana.

Vahana is a single-passenger autonomously flying aircraft that can take off and land vertically, making the concept more of a flying car.

The Jetsons-like aircraft comes with eight rotors and tilting wings. It will be used as a taxi, making it more of a flying Uber.

Vahana is the first project from A³, the Silicon Valley branch of Airbus.

Airbus is more known for massive jetliner aircraft like the double story A380, but the Vahana project shows the French company is also trying to stay on the cutting edge of the aerospace industry.

Testing on the Vahana will commence in 2017. Should something go wrong, the flying vehicle has a ballistic parachute it can deploy, even at low altitudes.
