Jimmy Choo co-founder Tamara Mellon had slashed the asking price of her massive duplex penthouse in the Carhart Mansion in the Upper East Side of New York a few months ago. Now the designer has cut the listed price again, bringing it down to $25 million, almost $10 million less than was originally sought for the property when it landed on the open market in 2014.

Mellon recently picked up an $18.4-million condo on Greenwich Lane, which is probably why she was so willing to cut the asking price of her extravagant duplex.

The Carhart Mansion is situated a stone’s throw away from Central Park, and Mellon’s duplex penthouse is one of only four units in the historic building. The penthouse holds five bedrooms, four and a half bathrooms, and offers more shoe storage than probably any other listing in New York City.

There are also three terraces to enjoy Central Park and skyline views, with one featuring limestone columns, and another coming with a bar and built-in TV. The duplex also boasts a large chef’s kitchen with modern appliances.

The home comes complete with an ultra-modern interior that one would expect from the highly fashionable Mellon.

The British fashion magnate paid $20 million for the Carhart Mansion penthouse in 2008.
