Even though five-time NBA All-Star LaMarcus Aldridge chose to play for the San Antonio Spurs over the Los Angeles Lakers during the last offseason, the former University of Texas big man recently purchased an L.A.-area property in Newport Coast for $7 million.

Aldridge’s new house was built in 2008 and boasts a Spanish and Mission theme and holds four bedrooms and six bathrooms within its 6,800-square-feet of living space.

Inside is a large family room as well as a den space, a large living room with a fireplace, and a gym that comes with a sauna. There is also an enormous chef’s kitchen with a flashy glass-tile backsplash and an odd-but-oddly-fitting moon-shaped island.

The exterior features a swimming pool with a spa, a number of patios for lounging, and lawn space to enjoy.

Aldridge played his way into a five-year, $80 million contract with the Spurs after spending the first 9 years of his career with the Portland Trailblazers. He racked up 18 points and 8.5 rebounds per game for San Antonio last season, good enough to earn his fifth straight All-Star Game appearance and All-NBA Third Team recognition.
