The world’s most expensive teapot may have already found its spot in the Guinness Book of Records, but the stunning Egoist Teapot should continue to be admired as the piece of art it is.

Valued at $3 million, the Egoist made its debut at Mosiman’s restaurant in Belgravia, and it’s since been making an impression among tea lovers everywhere.

The unique kettle was ordered and designed by Nirmal Sethia, the founder of the N Sethia Foundation and Newby Teas of London. What makes it truly unique though is the addition of 1,658 brilliant cut D-E color grade diamonds and 386 rubies.

The 18-karat gold teapot was crafted by Milanese jeweler Scavia, and the brand upped the luxury factor on the design with an exquisite 20.70-karat natural ruby bead set into the crown of the lid.

The Egoist fits nicely into Newby’s Chira Collection, which includes more than 1,700 rare teapots and related items. Additional pieces include a 1,000-year-old Chinese Song Dynasty set, Lord Nelson’s silver teapot, and a silver tea set once owned by Winston Churchill’s daughter.
