The home of John Cavacas is no longer available. The late TV composer is popularly known for his “Hawaii Five-O” theme song, and now his former Beverly Hills estate has just sold for $7.4 million.

The California home was built in the 1950s and is set on a corner lot that stretches to more than half an acre. Cavacas acquired the house for just $255,000 back in the early 1970s, but nearly half a century later, the home was originally listed for $8.325 million.

Even though it sold for almost a million less than its original asking price, the longtime home of late composer and conductor John Cacavas is certainly luxurious with six bedrooms and seven bathrooms taking up much of the 5,069-square-foot space.

The new owners will enjoy plenty of open areas in the living and dining rooms, in addition to a bevy of vintage details like paneled walls, wood pillars, and royal blue carpeting. There’s also a screen room, a detached two-car garage, and sliding glass doors opening to the large pool and lush gardens found on the property.

Cavacas also scored music for TV shows like “Kojak” and “The Bionic Woman” and won a Grammy for his work on the spoken-word recording of “Gallant Men.”
