Alaska’s Most Expensive Listing Includes 31 Acres and an Actual Gold Mine

The state of Alaska has a new “most expensive listing.” The new price-topping property in the last frontier is a 31.3-acre parcel complete with its own golf course and private beach that is up for grabs for just $6.5 million.

There is also an actual gold mine on the property that’s dated back to 1897. And while there probably isn’t much gold left, there is surely an air of history about the mine where original mining equipment can still be found.

The acreage is located on the coast just to the north of Homer and near Anchor Point, meaning it actually doesn’t get doused in blankets of snow during the winter.

The home itself spans 4,322 square feet and offers stunning views from triple-pane, floor-to-ceiling windows that were specially brought in from Sweden. The three-bedroom, three-bathroom house also boasts vaulted ceilings with exposed wood beams and tiles imported from Italy with brass inlays.

Additionally, be careful not to shrug off the golf course as one of those three-hole, iron-only courses that are often found in Florida or California real estate offerings. The course is a full 25-acre executive course with a driving range, golf carts, and its own clubhouse. There is also already a beer and wine license attached to the golf haven should the new owner decide to get a little entrepreneurial.
