When basketball legend and NBA Hall of Famer Larry Bird left his job as the Indiana Pacers’ President of Basketball Operations in 2012, he retired to the Naples, Florida property he and his wife had purchased while he was still the coach of the Indiana Pacers. The couple reportedly loved the property’s Park Shores neighborhood when they bought the lot in 1998, but were eager to put their own spin on the location, knocking down the previous house and finishing construction on their dream home in 2001.

When Bird took back his job as President of the Pacers in 2013, he put the Naples manse up for sale for $4.8 million, but in three years the home has yet to find a buyer, so the Birds have shaved the asking price to $4.6 million.

At 6,000 square feet and featuring custom detail throughout, the four-bed six-bath estate has plenty of room for activities: cooking in the gourmet kitchen, admiring the fishes in your new saltwater aquarium, checking out a movie in the home theater or just enjoying a drink at the marble-topped bar.

And what would a Florida mansion be without a waterfront view? Casa Bird features breathtaking vistas of Venetian Bay from nearly every room in the house as well as the back deck, which features a charming thatched tiki hut and an infinity-edge pool. There are also plenty of parking spots, with a four car garage and a boat dock.
