Fox News’ Greta Van Susteren Sells Annapolis Home for $1.1M After $900k Price Cut

Fox News host Greta Van Susteren has just sold her Annapolis, Maryland, home for nearly $1.1 million. Unfortunately for the media anchor, she received nearly a million dollars less for the historic property than she originally wanted.

It was first listed for $1.95 million back in April of 2014, but the Georgian-style brick house didn’t sell until about two months ago for $1.05 million. Van Susteren and her husband, trial lawyer John P. Coale, paid $1.76 million for the home back in 2010.

Buit in 1776, the five-bedroom, three-bath home known as the Griffith Worthington House is just around the corner from the Maryland governor’s mansion in Annapolis’ historic district. It was once owned by one of Maryland’s oldest and most prestigious families, the Worthingtons.

Even with its historical relevance and features like chair rails, crown molding, and beautiful mantels, somehow it couldn’t sell for the higher price. It even sports fireplaces in the living rooms and master bedroom and a quaint courtyard.

Of course, these types of historical homes do require quite a bit of upkeep, which surely affected the ability to unload the home.
