Craigslist founder Craig Newmark has purchased the former Greenwich Village home of Wall Street investment banker Robert Pirie for $5.9 million.

The duplex features 11-foot ceilings and holds three bedrooms and 3.5 bathrooms within the first two floors of a 19th-century townhouse. Other amenities of Newmark’s new pad are a pair of wood burning fireplaces, a carriage house that has been turned into an incredible multi-level library, and a temperature-controlled wine room.

The home also features a manicured and peaceful courtyard garden for Newmark and his wife, Eileen, to enjoy. Who knows, maybe Newmark found the home listing on his own website.
