‘NYPD Blue’ and ‘Deadwood’ Creator David Milch Selling Martha’s Vineyard Property for $7M

The creator of “NYPD Blue” and “Deadwood” has just listed his Martha’s Vineyard property. David Milch is hoping to receive $6,999,000 for the waterfront compound that was just reduced by $1 million in January.

The incredible property has been on the market for almost a year, which is especially problematic for Milch since the 70-year-old show runner struggled with a gambling addiction that’s left him with a $17-million debt owed to the IRS.

Although he’s made more than $100 million over his career, finances appear to still be tight since Milch and his wife Rita sold their Brentwood, California, home for $4.8 million back in 2014.

The idyllic Cape Cod-style vacation home is sure to sell, though, with adorable bright blue shutters and a fully renovated interior. Dating back to 1880, the main house features five bedrooms and seven baths with a Vineyard-inspired look inside.

There’s also a contemporary, beachy guesthouse with four bedrooms and a tiny pond cottage on the property which sports 300 feet of private beach.
