Billionaire Bill Koch Cuts Price of Aspen Compound From $100M to $80M

Billionaire Bill Koch has reportedly reduced the price for his 83-acre Aspen compound by 20 percent. Koch’s “Elk Mountain Lodge” was originally listed at $100 million but has now been reduced to $80 million.

The incredible 28-bedroom, 30-bath compound is so luxurious that it actually used to be a high-end wedding venue. It’s since been renovated and redecorated with the help of interior design and architecture firms Bridges, Marsh and Associates, and Rowland + Broughton.

The main home spans 15,000 square feet with eight bedrooms, but more lodging can be found among three other parcels of land each with their own houses. Inside the main house is a classic American ski lodge aesthetic with massive log timbers, rock fireplaces, and, naturally, antler chandeliers.

Designed for entertaining, the dining room is large enough to fit a table of 20, and a professional-grade kitchen with two massive islands ensures there’s space to prepare a dinner for larger crowds.

The other three parcels, while smaller compared to the main home, span between 2,917 to 5,748 square feet, although the Crystal Cabin parcel does include a theater room, several hot tubs, a full-sized basketball court, and even trout-filled ponds. These parcels are available to be sold separately with prices ranging from $4.25 million to $8.375 million.
