While Mercedes-Benz isn’t quite ready to unleash its 2017 E-Class, the car is expected to be the most high-tech car the German company has ever built, and that’s just based off the interior.

Mercedes offered a peek inside the 2017 E-Class, and one thing is clear: The car looks to take the blend of human and machine to a new level. The E-Class looks much more like the range-topping S-Class on the inside, which will bring more luxury and cutting-edge tech to a new tier of potential buyers.

One of the coolest features is the addition of touch-control options directly on the steering wheel, allowing drivers to make touchscreen swipes without taking their hands off the wheel. It will also have a center console touch pad that can be controlled by hand-written letters and numbers, in addition to gesture inputs.

Other amenities include Mercedes’ classic wood and leather trim and an LED ambient light system with 64 color options.

The 2017 E-Class will be revealed at the 2016 Detroit Auto Show.
