The four-story apartment located in New York City’s Central Park West neighborhood of the late and legendary Helen Gurley Brown, the former editor-in-chief of Cosmopolitan, has hit the market for $20 million.

Brown and her husband, four-time Oscar nominated producer David Brown, purchased the property—which extends up into one of the three towers of the Beresford building—from director Mike Nichols in the 1970s.

Designed with glitz and glamour, there is only one real bedroom in the apartment, which is a full-floor master suite with a dressing room. There are also two small bedrooms and a bathroom under the kitchen for staff. There is also an en-suite library located just off of the entrance.

The top floor serves as an observance gallery with 17-foot vaulted ceilings, while the living room features a three-foot wide wrap-around terrace, and there are also two terraces (one of them might be the largest in Central Park West) located just off of the master bedroom.

The Beresford building has been the home of some of the most elite New Yorkers, including tennis legend John McEnroe, comedian Jerry Seinfeld, and singer Diana Ross.
