In line with home automation tech like Nest, Yves Behar, founder of Fuseproject, has announced his company’s new August Smart Lock to the open market.

The August access system comes with a keyless lock, “doorbell” camera, keypad, and smartphone app for iOS and Android systems. Customers can use their smartphones to lock, unlock, and check who’s at the door at anytime.

With the August app, users can allow trusted people like house cleaners, dog walkers, healthcare workers, and a multitude of other service providers access to their home remotely.

By streamlining mundane but time-consuming activities such as access management, the hope is that customers can spend their time more productively or even doing something they love.
